Real tomato soup

5 pcs larger tomatoes 1 pk onion 2 cloves garlic 1 handful fresh parsley 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp ground sweet paprika 1 tsp ground black pepper to taste salt 200 ml whipping cream

For a long time I was looking for a super tomato soup made with fresh tomatoes. No purees, ketchups, broths, etc. So here it is π I recommend it to everyone π
1.
Slice onion and garlic ( I also chop garlic because it lets the flavor out better )

Steam, peel and chop the tomatoes

In a saucepan, saute onion, garlic, add tomatoes and a handful of parsley in oil and saute for 5 minutes until tomatoes are soft

Add sugar, basil, pepper, paprika, salt and 200 ml of water and cook until the tomatoes are cooked ( itβs not always possible and thatβs when the immersion blender comes into the picture π ) Then add water as needed but not enough

When the tomatoes are sort of cooked, set the soup aside for a while and blend them with an immersion blender

Bring back to the boil, add the cream and let it boil for a while more,

Serve garnished with parsley, shredded cheese, or who likes π
