Soft Christmas hearts with egg white frosting, paired with currant jam are delicious:))
1.
Dough: Make a dough with sifted flour, vanilla, hera, egg yolks and grated lemon zest. On a floured board, roll out the dough to a thickness of 3-4 mm and cut out hearts or other shapes with a pastry cutter. Choose the size you like.
2.
Place each heart on a baking tray lined with baking paper, decorate as you like. I used lentils. Bake at 160°C for about 20 minutes. Once dry, you can cover with baking paper and dry slowly. Let cool.
3.
White icing: Beat the egg whites with the sifted icing sugar until thick.
4.
After cooling, bind two hearts at a time with currant jam. Refrigerate. Enjoy!
