The name of this sushi is not derived from the American city of Philadelphia as many think however from the use of philadelphia type cheese as the main ingredient 🙂
1.
First we will prepare sushi rice according to this u – https://dobruchut.azet.sk/recept/70077/-priprava-zakladnej-sushi-ryze/ In this recipe, the measure is 500g of sushi, which will make enough for 5-6 rolls, which is for about 4 people. So prepare the required amount accordingly.
2.
Next, prepare a container in which you mix water with the addition of rice vinegar. This water is used to keep your hands wet and most importantly to keep the rice from sticking to them. If we don’t have rice vinegar you can squeeze the juice of a lemon.
3.
Place the seaweed, shiny side down, on the bamboo mat.
4.
Soak your hands continuously in the prepared water and slowly place the sushi rice on top of the seaweed to cover it all. Leave about 1 cm at the top where you do not put the rice. Use this part to glue the maki roll together at the end.
5.
Place the sliced cucumber (without seeds) and salmon on the center of the rice and spread the prepared Philadelphia cheese all over.
6.
Coat the seaweed, i.e. the 1 cm part not covered by the rice, with the prepared water and rice vinegar, which will serve as a glue at this point.
7.
Roll up the roll tightly according to u.
8.
We can cut 8 pieces from this prepared roll.
9.
Serve with pickled ginger, wasabi and soy sauce.
