One of the biggest scandals in the candy world was the renaming of Raider to Twix in the 1990s. Maybe some of you still remember the claim „Raider is now called Twix. Otherwise, nothing has changed“. We treaters don’t really care about the name, we are mainly interested in what you can conjure up with the chocolate bar. Like, for example, this insanely cool Twix ice cream on a stick.
For this you need:
5 Twix bars 100 g vanilla ice cream 150 g cream 5 popsicle sticks
For the chocolate coating:
210 g chocolate 120 g caramel
How it works:
1.) Hit with a hammer on the still wrapped Twix bars until they are broken into large Stückchen. Alternatively, you can also press the bars on the edge of a table and help with the hands while crushing a little.
2.) Öffne the paper on one side and place the broken bar in the wrapper on end in a glass.
3.) Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in an ice cream cone and cut off the pointed end of the cone with scissors. Hold the waffle üover the glass with the Twix.
4.) Now pour hot cream over the vanilla ice cream so that it can flow together with the cream through the small hole in the wafer tip into the package with the Twix sticks.
5.) Put an ice cream stick in the middle of the package and put the jar with contents in the freezer for at least two hours.
6.) Now you need to prepare the envelope. To do this, hold a bar of chocolate (milk or dark, depending on your taste) under hot running water until it melts. Pour the melted chocolate into a glass and stir it until it forms a smooth and pliable coating.
7.) Take the frozen Twix ice cream out of the package and dip it into the chocolate in the glass. Place the popsicle on a tray or plate with baking paper and decorate it with a caramel or dark chocolate sauce.
Think of the countless possibilities that exist on the candy bar market. Try also once another variant with another bar. There are no limits to your creativity. Have fun trying out!
